What product irritated my skin?
Hello everyone, sorry I have been M.I.A lately. I had a bad reaction to a product I was testing out and have been feeling super self conscious lately. I will be talking about the all of the products that I was using and what I did to help clear my skin.
About a month ago I bought Clean and Clear Lemon face wash and toner. I was super excited to try out a new product and I thought it was going good so for vacation I purchased another face wash for my fiance and I to use. Well, after about two weeks of using this I started breaking out. So I stopped using toner because this is the first toner I’ve ever used. Also, I had just purchased a ton of makeup products and other skincare products
My next thought that came to mind was about the skin mist and grip primer. I had heard so many people had been breaking out when they started using these products. I stopped using them immediately. I have such sensitive skin that even trying all of these different products at once was really different for me. I try hard to take care of my skin.
Once I stopped using the skin mist and grip primer my face actually got worse. Only thing I could think of now was the face wash. It was the only thing left. My fiance was telling me the whole time it was the face wash and I didn’t want to believe him. But, he tried it out for about a week because his face wash bottle was empty. He broke out as well.
So, there is some ingredient in the Clean and Clear face wash that irritates our skin. I have switched back to my old face wash, Simple Micellar face wash. I used that last year when I had a reaction to a foundation. It helped me tremendously. My skin was still very dry so I bought the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel face mask and oh my, it did wonders. My skin was so shiny and hydrated. It hasn’t felt this good in a long time.
Before I stopped using the face wash I was talking to Erika from Erika’s Blog and I had told her it was the Farsali Rose Gold Skin Mist. Honestly, it sounded weird to say because none of the other Farsali products break me out. If anything, they make my skin better! A couple days had passed and I had stopped using the face wash and reported back to her about it and she said “I wonder what makes people have such a reaction?”
I wonder that too. I had used the regular Clean and Clear, the orange one, and never had a bad reaction. So what is different between the two? I will be digging deeper into that eventually. I do want to figure out what ingredient it is that my skin doesn’t like.
I have been adding in those other products very slowly. I would love to try them out to their entirety. Also, I made a big decision today about my makeup routine. Since I have such terrible reactions with certain products I have cut foundation out of my routine. I have found other ways to keep using bronzer, highlighters, and blush. Honestly, foundation is so terrible for my skin. I may use foundation for big events, but not as an everyday product. I am excited to see how this goes.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. Also, check out Erika’s Blog. She is very talented and down to earth. She has been doing unboxings for subscription services and they all seem very awesome.
