Ipsy – October Glam Bag
Hello, my loves! It has definitely been a while since I wrote last. I was sick with a cold that put me on the couch on for 4 days! I am all better now and ready to get back to writing.
I finally received my Ipsy bag after being shipped over a week ago. Also, I subscribed so late last month that they didn’t want to charge me a week later for the October bag. I thought it was really nice. Felt like they were looking out for my finances.
If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription of beauty products. It is $10 a month and they charge you the first of every month. It is all trial size items and once in a while, you may get a full-size item.
Now, what is in the October Glam Bag?
The first product is the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in shade R230. It is about 3 shades darker than what I am. I have never purchased this brand so I really don’t know what shade I would be. I just know it is too dark for me! I did notice this is the same size as the mini size sold on Sephora. It retails for $24. I would not spend $24 dollars on this tiny bottle. The product does feel thick and creamy. Seems like medium coverage so it’s definitely my kind of foundation.
Next product is the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. I love this spray. I have used it many times before. It gives volume and holds my hair in place. It does say it is an alternative to dry shampoo. I just use it when my hair is damp after a shower. It does tend to dry out my hair so I’d suggest using it maybe twice a week. Not every day if you have dry damaged hair.
One product I was surprised to receive was the Take Home The Bronze by theBalm. I don’t think I have ever received anything in the past from them when I was first subscribed to Ipsy. It was mostly brands I have never heard of. It is in the shade Oliver so it is light. Which is fine by me. I am so pale so having dark bronzers wouldn’t work for me. It is a tiny pan so I’m curious to see how it will work. The pan is the size of a quarter. But yeah, I was really excited to receive this even if it is small.
Another product I received that was pretty cool was from IBY Beauty from their City Limits palette. It is the shade Dance Party. It’s a very deep green color. Almost like a forest green color. It does seem a little too deep for me. Still pretty cool because I don’t own anything from IBY Beauty. I’m sure in the future I could find some use out of this shade.
Last product I received was surprising. I believe it is full-size too! It’s by Laritzy Cosmetics. It is a lip gloss in the shade Aura. It’s kind of holographic, clear with purple glitter pieces. Nice to have since Halloween is coming up. You don’t have to apply a lot of it to notice the sparkle. You can feel the glitter though. I can get over that because I actually like this lip gloss.
Overall, I really liked this Glam Bag. There are a few products I won’t be using, but they will make great stocking stuffers!
If you got the Glam Bag and liked it or didn’t like it let me know!
