First Impressions – August

When hearing Sephora had a sale going on of 20% off with being Rouge Status, I was so excited. I bought so many goodies. I also have some products from Avon.

*All of the first impressions you will be reading are strictly my opinion. Nobody is paying me to tell you how great their products are.

Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro – shade Brown Black Light. $34

This pencil is highly pigmented and applied smoothly. I like the bulkiness it has, regular pencils seem to always slip. I feel I have more control of where I’m adding strokes. Only one issue I have is that I bought the wrong shade. I would actually need shade Brown Medium. This pencil does come in 5 shades.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Baking & Setting Powder – Translucent $34

It didn’t leave my skin feel dry. It felt hydrated and very smooth. I bought this in the shade Sugar Cookie – translucent. I was unsure if any of the other lighter shades would end up being too dark. This product does come in 8 other shades.

Huda Beauty Bake & Blend Dual-Ended Setting Complexion Brush – $26

This is my first dual-ended complexion brush. It does apply the powder really well. Very soft synthetic fibers. I use the slanted end to apply my contour and it seems to work better than a beauty blender. I use the other side to add the loose powder but also highlighter.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette – $54

I was excited when I opened this palette. It is definitely a summer palette. Would take this traveling with me. Pigmented well and blends well together. I have done the same look every time I use this palette. Shades I use the most are ounce, low blow, sauced, and scorched. I apply ounce all over the lid. Blend low blow into my crease and outer corner. I then blend sauced onto my outer corner into my crease to darken the crease. To finish the look I apply scorched from the inner corner to the outer while blending the edges.

Avon Anew Hydra Fusion Serum and Gel Cream

Serum – $40  The serum was a bit watery to me. It does smell really good. Clean fresh scent.  Does not leave an oily residue. Usually, serums make my dry skin feel hydrated. I only had the sample packets and it did not make my skin feel hydrated. I would try it again.

Moisturizer – $32  This moisturizer reminded me of the Tarte H2O Gel Moisturizer. I love that one. I love this one. Smells really good. I feel gel moisturizers work better for my dry skin. Sometimes creams and lotion moisturizers leave my skin oily. These do not! I would buy this. I would say the Anew Hydra Fusion Gel Cream is a dupe for Tarte H2O Gel Moisturizer. Tarte Gel Moisturizer is $39.

These are all of the products I have for you so far! In a month I will update this page with my September First Impressions. If you have any products you love and want me try then comment down below!
